How do you decide which sofas are "best"?

By sales, not by our own labels. The grid is ordered best-selling first, so the designs at the top are the ones UK households buy most — a measure that updates itself as tastes change. We don't badge sofas with unsubstantiated quality claims; the order of the grid reflects genuine customer buying behaviour.

Which materials are available?

The range spans fabric (including velvet and jumbo cord weaves), genuine leather, Leather Aire, and smaller bonded and faux leather families. Fabric is the softest and warmest; Leather Aire gives a wipe-clean leather look; genuine leather is the premium natural option that develops character with age. What's the difference between Leather Aire and genuine leather?

Genuine leather is natural hide — breathable, hard-wearing, and it improves with age, though it benefits from occasional conditioning. Leather Aire is a leather-look material that keeps a consistent appearance with almost no upkeep; a wipe with a damp cloth is enough. Both read as leather in the room; they differ in feel, care and price.

Do the sofas recline?

Many do. The range includes several hundred electric recliner designs, a smaller group of manual recliners, and a large family of fixed, non-reclining sofas. Use the Recliner filter above the grid to narrow to the mechanism you want, and check reclined depths on the product page if space is tight.

Which sizes and combinations can I buy?

What size room do I need?

Let the walls decide. One clear wall suits a 2 or 3 seater; two walls open up corner designs and 3+2 sets; squarer rooms often suit a sofa with armchairs. Allow clearance behind reclining backrests and in front of rising footrests, and measure doorways, hallways and staircases on the delivery route before ordering.

How long does a sofa last?

Lifespan depends on use and care rather than the label. The structural frame of every design is covered by a 5-year frame warranty as standard, and a simple material-appropriate routine — regular cleaning, prompt attention to spills, smooth use of any mechanism — keeps a sofa looking and working well beyond that.

How do I clean and care for my sofa?

Care follows the material. Vacuum fabric weekly and blot spills without rubbing; wipe Leather Aire with a clean, slightly damp cloth; dust genuine leather and condition it every few months with a specialist product. On every finish, avoid harsh cleaners and solvents, and keep the sofa out of strong direct sunlight and away from radiators.

Are the sofas fire-safety compliant?

Can I return my sofa?

Yes. We offer a 14-day returns policy — if the sofa isn't right once it's in your home, contact our team within 14 days of delivery and we'll arrange a collection or exchange. Full conditions, including the state the sofa needs to be returned in, are set out on our delivery and returns page.

What happens if my sofa arrives damaged?

Contact our team straight away on 02476 705 600 or through our contact page, ideally with photos of the damage and the packaging, and we'll arrange a repair, replacement or collection. Damage on arrival is handled separately from the standard returns window, so report it as soon as you notice it rather than waiting.

Do sofas need assembly?

It varies by design. Sets arrive as separate pieces, corner designs typically arrive in sections that connect in the room, and many single sofas need little beyond fitting feet. What does the warranty cover?

Every sofa comes with a 5-year frame warranty as standard, which covers the structural build — the frame itself rather than everyday wear to upholstery, cushions or general wear to mechanism parts. Full terms, including how to make a claim, are set out on our warranty and support page.

Yes.
