At FurnitureInstore, we want you to enjoy your furniture with complete peace of mind. Our optional 5-Year Furniture Care Warranty covers accidental staining, accidental damage, and structural defects on eligible furniture.

Accidental Staining

Covers stains caused by:

  • Food and drinks
  • Cosmetics, ink, paint, shoe polish, and dye transfer
  • Human or animal bodily fluids
  • Odours caused by stains

Accidental Damage

Covers stains caused by:

  • Rips, tears, scratches, scuffs, dents, punctures, and burns
  • Heat rings on surfaces
  • Pet damage
  • Breakage of glass, stone, marble, or frame components

Structural Defects

Covers stains caused by:

  • Defects in frames and structural components
  • Fabric material faults (fraying, peeling)
  • Lifting or peeling of leather/vinyl
  • Broken springs, excessive cushion stretching, or webbing failure
  • Mechanical or electric recliner faults, including buttons, zips, castors, or stitching separation

Valid claims are settled by cleaning or repair. If repair isn't possible, a replacement or alternative settlement will be offered up to the original purchase price.

Understanding Your 5-Year Warranty

Restrictions on Cover

  • Must be 18+ and resident in the UK, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man.
  • Product price cannot exceed £20,000.
  • Furniture is for domestic use only (no commercial use).
  • Product must be new and undamaged at policy start.
  • The warranty cannot be transferred to another person.
  • The value of any repair or settlement does not exceed the original purchase price.

Policy Details

  • Type: Stand-alone insurance policy for furniture.
  • Where Covered: UK, Channel Islands, and Isle of Man.
  • When Cover Starts:
  • Accidental staining/damage: from date of delivery
  • Structural defects: after 12 months or once manufacturer’s guarantee expires (if longer)
  • Payment: Premium paid in full before policy starts.
  • Cancellation: 14-day cooling-off period for a full refund (no refund if a claim has been made or after 14 days).
  • Some circumstances may end the policy early — see Terms & Conditions for details.

What Is Not Covered

  • Deliberate damage by you or any other person
  • Wear and tear or gradual accumulation of damage/staining
  • Structural defects subject to manufacturer recall
  • Damage from sunlight, perspiration, natural oils, or normal wear
  • Damage caused by incorrect cleaning products or methods
  • Animal damage (other than pets)
  • Delivery, assembly, or disassembly damage
  • Staining/damage that occurred or accumulated over time
