What is in the grey 2 seater sofa collection?

Forty-eight products, all grey and all built around the two-seat footprint. Twenty-nine are single 2 seater sofas and nineteen are 2+2 sets, which are matching pairs of two seaters. Five upholstery types are represented and around twenty ranges, covering fixed sofas, manual recliners and electric recliners. Every one of the forty-eight is currently in stock.

Does the collection include 2+2 sets as well as single sofas?

Yes, and it is worth knowing before you browse. Nineteen of the forty-eight listings are 2+2 sets — two matching two seater sofas rather than one. If you want a single sofa, filter or check the title for “2+2” before adding to your basket. If you want a pair, the sets are usually better value than buying two singles separately and guarantee the two match.

Which materials are available?

Five. Genuine leather is confirmed in the title on the Dalmore, Vantage, Annecy, Cidliano, Renato and Dandrea ranges. Leather without the word genuine covers Valerie, Chesterfield, Valencia and Cinema. Fabric covers Verona, Tanya, Conway, Foster, Roma Electric, Torino, Canterbury and Byron. Suede is used on the Maple range. And velvet appears on the Scott and Olympia ranges.

Which of these are genuine leather?

Only the ranges whose titles say so: Dalmore, Vantage, Annecy, Cidliano, Renato and Dandrea, plus the Outlet units drawn from those lines. The others say Leather without the word genuine, and we do not upgrade that claim or downgrade it, because either would be inventing a specification. If the grade matters to your decision, call 02476 705 600 and we will check the record.

What is the difference between grey, light grey and dark grey here?

Three shade labels appear across the range. Most products are simply grey, a mid tone. Light grey appears on some Renato, Dandrea and Foster listings and reads noticeably paler. Dark grey appears on one Foster listing and sits closer to charcoal. The labels come from the product titles rather than a standardised palette, so if you are matching to something you own, see them in person.

Are there reclining 2 seaters, and what is the difference between manual and electric?

Yes, a large proportion of the collection reclines. A manual recliner uses a handle you pull yourself, so it can sit anywhere with no socket to plan around; Valencia and Conway cover this. An electric recliner moves at the press of a button and needs mains power within reach; Tanya, Maple, Annecy, Cinema, Foster, Roma Electric, Cidliano, Renato, Dandrea and Torino all appear as electric.

What do the Outlet listings mean?

Four listings carry Outlet in the vendor field, marking reduced clearance or ex-display units rather than a separate manufacturer. Each has the Outlet prefix in its title, so they are easy to identify. All four are single units, so a listing goes out of stock as soon as it sells. Because the records carry no formal condition field, call 02476 705 600 and we will describe the specific unit.

Are all 48 products in stock?

Yes. The collection's own availability filter reports forty-eight in stock and none out of stock. Depth varies considerably though: many listings hold ten or more units, while the four Outlet items and three of the larger recliner sets are down to a single unit. If a specific listing matters to you, it is worth acting rather than waiting.

Is grey practical for everyday use?

It is the most forgiving shade we sell, which is why it is also the most widely stocked. Mid greys hide light marks better than cream and show less lint and pale pet hair than black, and they sit alongside most existing colour schemes without dictating them. Light grey is less forgiving of marks; dark grey shows dust and hair more readily.

What size room do I need for a 2 seater sofa?

A single 2 seater suits a smaller living room, a snug, a study or a second seating position. A 2+2 set needs two separate wall runs, not one longer one, so measure both positions. If any piece reclines, add clearance behind for the backrest and in front for the footrest. Exact dimensions are on each individual product page.

How do I measure doorways, hallways, stairs and lifts?

Measure the narrowest point on the whole route rather than just the front door: door width and height, hallway width, the tightest turn and any stair landing you have to pivot on. If a lift is involved, measure the door aperture plus internal depth and height. On a 2+2 set, check both sofas against the route rather than assuming they are identical to move.

How long does a 2 seater sofa last?

That depends on the material, the use it gets and the care it receives rather than on the size. On a reclining model the mechanism usually limits the life of the piece, and it lasts longest operated smoothly through the full travel rather than forced or stopped part-way. On fabric and velvet, regular vacuuming does more for longevity than anything else.

How do I clean and care for each material?

Leather and genuine leather want a slightly damp cloth, no harsh chemicals, and occasional specialist conditioning. Fabric wants regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment and spills blotted, never rubbed. Suede needs a lighter touch again, brushed rather than soaked. Velvet must be brushed in the direction of the pile. On any recliner, keep cleaning products away from the mechanism.

Is there a grey velvet 2 seater?

Yes, two. The Scott grey velvet 2 seater and the Olympia grey velvet 2 seater, plus an Olympia 2+2 velvet set. Note the Olympia titles read “Fabric Velvet” while the Scott reads “Velvet” — velvet is a type of fabric so neither is wrong, but the inconsistency is a naming issue we have flagged rather than a difference between the products.

Is finance available on grey 2 seater sofas?

Yes. You can spread the cost with PayPal Pay in 3, Klarna Pay in 3 or Pay in 30, both interest-free, Clearpay in 4 interest-free fortnightly payments, or DivideBuy for longer-term plans. All finance is subject to a credit check, and the options open to you are confirmed at checkout. Call 02476 705 600 if you would like help comparing the providers.

How long does delivery take?

Most in-stock sofas are delivered within 7 to 10 working days, free of charge to England and Wales. Delivery is carried out by a two-person employed team rather than a third-party courier. They bring the sofa into your chosen ground-floor room where access allows and fit any feet on site. Packaging is taken away on request.

Is assembly included?

There is nothing for you to build. The two-person delivery team brings the sofa into the room you have chosen, on the ground floor, and fits any feet before they leave. On a 2+2 set that means placing both sofas. They do not carry out electrical work, so an electric recliner needs to reach an existing socket. Tell us in advance if access is tight.

What happens if my sofa arrives damaged?

Tell the delivery team at the point of delivery wherever possible, and call us on 02476 705 600 the same day so there is a record from the outset. Photographs of the damage and of the packaging help. Damage in transit is ours to put right, and we will talk you through the options once we have seen what has happened.

Can I return a sofa if I change my mind?

Yes. Furniture Instore offers 14-day returns on these ranges, giving you a 14-day change of mind window from delivery. The sofa needs to be in the condition it arrived in, and we will explain the collection arrangements when you get in touch. Call 02476 705 600 or use the contact details on the site to start a return.

Does a grey 2 seater sofa come with a warranty?

Furniture Instore does not offer a separate frame or mechanism warranty on these ranges, and we would rather say so plainly than imply cover that does not exist. Your purchase is protected by your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires goods to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a fault appears, call 02476 705 600.
