What is Leather Aire?

Leather Aire is a hard-wearing, leather-look upholstery material that gives the appearance and wipe-clean practicality of leather without needing specialist conditioning. Every chair in this collection is upholstered in Leather Aire, and day-to-day care is as simple as wiping the surface with a clean, slightly damp cloth and dealing with spills promptly.

What's the difference between Leather Aire and genuine leather?

Genuine leather is a natural hide that develops its own character and patina over time, and it benefits from occasional specialist conditioning to stay supple. Leather Aire is a leather-look material that keeps a consistent appearance with almost no upkeep — a wipe-down is enough. If you want natural hide, our genuine leather ranges are listed separately so you can compare both honestly.

What size room do I need for an armchair?

A fixed armchair needs little more than its own footprint, which is listed on each product page. Recliner designs need extra clearance behind the chair for the backrest and in front for the footrest to open fully, so check the reclined depth against your space, and measure doorways and hallways on the delivery route before ordering.

How long does a leather armchair last?

Lifespan depends on how heavily the chair is used and how well the upholstery and any mechanism are looked after. The structural frame of every chair here is covered by a 5-year frame warranty as standard, and a simple routine — regular wiping, prompt attention to spills and smooth operation of recliner mechanisms — keeps a Leather Aire chair looking and working well beyond that.

How do I clean a Leather Aire armchair?

Wipe the chair with a clean, slightly damp cloth as part of your normal routine and deal with spills promptly rather than letting them sit. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, solvents and abrasive sponges, which can damage the surface — plain water on a soft cloth handles almost everything. No conditioning products or specialist treatments are needed.

Should I choose a manual or an electric recliner?

Choose manual if you want simplicity and complete freedom over where the chair sits — it uses a lever or pull action and needs no power. Choose electric if effortless push-button control matters more, particularly if you'll recline often or have limited hand strength; just make sure there's a socket within reach of your chosen spot before you order.

Do all the armchairs recline?

No. Twelve of the twenty chairs recline — seven with a manual mechanism and five electrically — while the eight fixed armchairs from the Verona, Valerie and Sienna ranges are non-reclining by design. Do any of the armchairs have cup holders?

Yes. All three Cinema electric recliner armchairs include two built-in cup holders, one in each arm, so drinks stay level and within reach while you're reclined. The Cinema chairs are available in black, tan and grey, and their electric mechanism lets you stop at any angle between upright and fully reclined.

Can I return my armchair?

Yes. We offer a 14-day returns policy on leather armchairs — if the chair isn't right once it's in your home, contact our team within 14 days of delivery and we'll arrange a collection or exchange. What happens if my armchair arrives damaged?

Contact our team straight away on 02476 705 600 or through our contact page, ideally with photos of the damage and the packaging, and we'll arrange a repair, replacement or collection. Damage on arrival is handled separately from the standard returns window, so report it as soon as you notice it rather than waiting — it makes the resolution quicker for you.

Does an armchair need assembly?

Armchairs typically arrive with far less assembly than sofas — often none beyond fitting feet — and their compact size makes access through doorways straightforward. What does the warranty cover?

Every leather armchair comes with a 5-year frame warranty as standard, which covers the structural build of the chair — the frame itself rather than everyday wear to the upholstery or, where fitted, general wear to mechanism parts.
